This mixture of rich spices has been created to enhance a wide range of vegetarian dishes, from dals to rice to roasted vegetables. It is named in honour of the Indian saint Mahavira, who promoted the concept of Ahimsa or nonviolence. A feast is a celebration and we invite you to enjoy the wonderful comfort of Mahavira’s Feast. We love it in dals, BBQ wings, buttered mushrooms and much more.
We toast 7 different spices for this deeply flavourful blend, including cumin seed, bay leaf, fennel seed, ajwain or Indian thyme, and black peppercorn.






















I use this on roasted vegetables and it’s fabulous on toasted almonds – a keeper for sure.
A must for any Indian meal – pair with Punjabi Garam Masala!
I haven’t tried it yet, but will love it I am sure.
