An exciting and flavourful chicken dish that combines the bold, earthy flavours of zaatar spice with a bit of zesty heat. In this recipe, chicken pieces are marinated in a mixture of zaatar, tangy sumac, and the warm heat of Aleppo pepper.
Tangy Spicy Zaatar Chicken
Ingredients
- 8 pieces Chicken Thighs
- 2 tbsp Zaatar
- 1 tbsp Sumac
- 1-2 tsp Aleppo Pepper
- Salt & Pepper
- 3 cloves Garlic crushed
- ¼ cup olive oil
Instructions
- At least 6 hours ahead of cooking mix marinade ingredients. Add chicken and mix well, including under the skin.8 pieces Chicken Thighs, 2 tbsp Zaatar, 1 tbsp Sumac, 1-2 tsp Aleppo Pepper, Salt & Pepper, 3 cloves Garlic, ¼ cup olive oil
- Heat oven to 400℉.
- Roast chicken for 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven, cover and let rest.
- Serve with Monsoon Coast Potatoes and Moroccan Glazed Carrots.
