Caraway seeds are essential in traditional European cooking and baking — and Monsoon Coast brings them to you whole and packed with flavour. These crescent-shaped seeds (relative of cumin) deliver a bold, earthy profile with nutty, peppery undertones and a subtle anise-like sweetness that’s unmistakable. An essential spice in old-world kitchens, caraway seeds are the heartbeat of classic rye bread, tangy sauerkraut, and rich, simmered goulash.
For baking, just a teaspoon can transform a rustic rye loaf or Irish soda bread with its signature complexity. For fermentation fans, tossing whole seeds into sauerkraut or pickled vegetables adds not only flavour, but also a signature crunch.
