Instructions
4 rounded teaspoons of Railway Chai. Optional: Lightly crush.
4 tsp Railway Chai
Put water into a saucepan and add the chai spices.
4 cups Water,
4 tsp Railway Chai
Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, partially cover and let simmer for 15 minutes.
Remove from heat, add Assam Tea. (You can use another black tea; green or Rooibos also work.) Cover and steep for 2-3 minutes.
4 tsp Organic Assam Tea
Strain into warm milk. It tastes best with whole milk. Sweeten to taste. Add a little salt for a balanced flavour.
1 1/2 cups Whole Milk or Almond/Oat Milk,
2-3 tbsp Raw Cane Sugar,
1 pinch salt
Notes
Railway Chai can be made ahead and kept in the fridge to reheat later. It is refreshingly delicious also served on ice on a hot day.
