Originally an aphrodisiac, containing Spanish fly beetles and hashish, along with other exotica, Ras el Hanout has evolved into an array of aromatic blends, each reflecting the taste of the creator and their particular clientele. Our version tones down the more extreme qualities but still guarantees to put a twinkle in your eye.
Monsoon Coast Ras el Hanout contains sixteen ingredients mixing aromatics such as mace, allspice, cardomom, cinnamon and nutmeg with three pungent peppers and the flowers of rose, lavender and Spanish saffron. Use it in cous cous or rice and in lamb or chicken dishes.
