Wats, spicy meat or chicken stews flavored with Berbere are the national dish of Ethiopia. They are traditionally served on a giant flat bread or injera, from which pieces are ripped to scoop up the food. Monsoon Coast Berbere is a blend of nine carefully selected spices which cushion the fiery chilis so necessary in Ethiopian cuisine.
