Durban is home to one of the largest populations of people of Indian descent outside of India. A particular Durban take-away innovation is the Bunny Chow. The top is cut off a loaf of bread and the insides are scooped out, leaving the walls thick enough to hold liquid. The hollow is then filled with your choice of curry, the top replaced and away you go.
We've named our South African style curry, Durban Curry, in honour of this unique culture and feel that it blends perfectly in a wide range of South African style dishes, delivering a good heat kick balanced nicely with the sweetness of cardamom.
